Tested so far with the Fujifilm X-S20. Other X and GFX bodies are untested.
FilmKitchen is built to work with any Fujifilm X or GFX series camera that supports USB-C tethered shooting. That said, we've only tested it against the Fujifilm X-S20 so far, so behavior on other bodies isn't verified yet. If your camera doesn't appear when connected, check the connection question below before reaching out.
No. Recipes are applied to a processed copy generated by your camera. Your original RAW file stays exactly as it was shot.
Both. Build a recipe from the same parameters your camera exposes, film simulation, dynamic range, grain effect, white balance shift, highlight and shadow tone, color chrome effect, and sharpness, then save it to your library alongside anything you've saved from elsewhere.
Confirm the camera's USB connection mode is set for data, not mass storage or charge-only, and that the cable itself supports data transfer. Power the camera on before connecting rather than after. If it's still not detected, restarting both the app and the camera resolves most cases.
Yes. Use the Files import option to bring in RAW files you've already offloaded to your device, then apply recipes to them the same way.
Fewer photos on the card means faster preview loading. At this time, we don't recommend importing more than 10 photos in a single batch; larger imports can slow preview generation noticeably. This isn't a hard limit enforced by the app, just current guidance while we improve performance on larger card libraries.
No. Your files stay on your device and your camera. Nothing is uploaded to an external server.
